Hey, I'm Allen. I have a BA from the University of Washington in Mechanical Engineering. I am interested in the mechanics and internal mechanisms of everyday devises as well as more complex assemblies such as cars, airplanes, and all machinery. This has led to the field of design, and manufacturing to see why goods look and function the way they do as well as the processes that are used to most effectively, and efficiently, make the product in mind.I have spent time within the aerospace industry overseeing and improving manufacturing processes for engine components in Boeing, and Pratt & Whitney airplanes.As an engineer I have:• Designed tooling to improve processes• Reduce the number of unworkable nonconforming parts by 60%• Collaborated between Engineering and Manufacturing to provide effective support• Root Cause analysis to remove sources of nonconformances• Performed internal audit on inspection techniques• Acted as engineering liaison between Washington and Arizona facilities.
