I manage a team of 70 drivers and support staff in the daily bus and shuttle operation of the Academy of Art University. This includes managing a budget of $7 million per year. I ensure that all students and staff are provided on time service to classes and various locations within the San Francisco Bay Area including special events and out of town excursions. I routinely interact with the City of San Francisco, SFMTA and MTA regarding rules, regulations and logistics with regards to the official shuttle stop and loading rules. I recommend, hire and work with consultants in order to provide necessary information for the Academy of Art University's transportation environmental impact report.I ensure that all vehicle requirements for the CARB program are met including removing and replacing older vehicles and purchasing cleaner burning fuel buses and trucks.I manage the drivers compliance with all DOT requirements i.e. license, medical and DMV pull notice.

As Logistics Manager, I was responsible for the setup of all Special Events including the Spring Show, Summer and Fall Art Experience Final Exhibitions and Orientation for Fall, Spring and Summer new students. I coordinated all office moves for key personnel with a focus on ergonomic needs i.e. desk chairs and keyboard trays and system. I worked closely with security on the school card access system including installation and power requirements and impletion for full use though-out the school. As Hazardous Waste Manager I ensured that all solid paint, paper and liquid waste was properly disposed of and documented. I managed all e-waste and light bulb recycling program and worked with the San Francisco Public Health and California Departments of Toxic Waste ensuring that the Academy was in compliance with State, Federal and Local laws. Special project included the installation of an 84 x 84 basketball court for the Athletic Department.

While at First Alarm, I inspected, repaired and installed fire systems in 60 commercial facilities, including Sun Microsystems and Compaq. In addition, I was the Project Manager for First Alarm at the Compaq facilities, where I managed an annual budget of $600,000.

As an Enlisted Recruiter, I utilized my expertise in effectively communicating the benefits of a career in the US Navy along with explaining its policies and procedures to applicants and groups within the community.

While in this position, I achieved an Outstanding Rating as Group Supervisor of the Electrical Department. In this position, I was responsible for training and evaluating the performance of electrical staff in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice interior communications systems, ship steering control systems, plotting, alarm and warning systems, gyrocompass and media entertainment systems.

As Director of Internal Security for the residents of Yerba Buena and Treasure Island, I earned commendations for superior management and innovative supervision of a staff of 38 in the performance of Military Police duties. Additionally, I developed and implemented a software program for the Navy/Incident Complaint Report, resulting in a savings of over $33 Million to the US Navy. I was instrumental in Treasure Island’s attainment of the Navy Award of Achievement in Industrial and Non-Industrial Safety. I also achieved an Outstanding Rating for providing assistance to United States Coast Guard Command and Immigration officials resulting in the smooth processing of 179 refugees who were apprehended by boat off Yerba Buena Island. Additionally, I earned a Commendation for life saving service while operating as Chief of Police at Treasure Island.

I effectively deployed Security Force Personnel in conjunction with the Secret Service and Naval Criminal Investigation Service to provide personal security for Vice President Gore’s visit to San Francisco. I earned the Navy Commendation for providing superior management of shore patrol personnel in San Francisco during Fleet Week events including Pier 39 activities, the Blue Angels Air Show, and "Fleet Week Run." I also achieved an Outstanding Rating for coordinating the security for the Bay Bridge during “Lifespan Run" and "Nimitz Run."

As Military Police Supervisor, I performed specialized duties in Internal Security Operations where I provided outstanding training and supervision of the squad in bomb threat and terrorist activities and coordinated surveillance of the Bay Bridge in conjunction with the California Highway Patrol and the California Department of Transportation. While Commander, I measurably improved the operations and effectiveness of the Security Detachment

As the Automatic Data Process Computer Coordinator, I supervised and tracked the installation of the ship’s computer system. I also designed and conducted user training programs which enhanced overall ship readiness.

I supervised the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the ship’s voice interior communications system, ship steering and control systems along with the alarm and warning systems.

I developed and executed printing procedures for the publishing of books, newspapers, and special event invitations. I also provided the official photography services for Mare Island.
