Responsible for Safety Assurance works for the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project. The Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project is a 29 km metro line extending the existing metro rail from the end of Sydney Metro Northwest Line at Chatswood station. Details are as follows:• Led risk assessment and safety hazard workshops and preparation of the Safety Assurance Statements to support the commencement of various stages of Dynamic Train Testing;• Managed the System Level Hazard Log and assist in preparation of the Engineering Safety Case for the integrated railway line; • conducted various risk assessment workshops in consultation with Sydney Metro Authority (Client), Metro Train Sydney (O&M Contractor), Civil Works contractors and System Works contractors with focus on safety-related risks, to develop a comprehensive understanding of each risk such that appropriate consideration can be given to risk appetite, tolerance and priorities for risk treatment in accordance with the Risk Management Plan; and • Received MTR Grand Awards for Outstanding Contribution in 2023

Responsible for Day-to-day activities including Requirement Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management and System Integration activities of the System Engineering Department; Conducted independent safety review and assessment on Signalling Systems of Alstom Urbails 400 CBTC baseline for Sydney Metro North West Project.

Responsible for leading the Systems Integration team to develop and implement the Systems Engineering framework for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Project in Malaysia. The KVMRT- SBK line is a Driverless system, which has a total track length of 51 km, 31 stations and two depots.• Managed Day-to-day activities of the System Integration Department; • Identified system integration requirements for railway systems; review Civil Detailed Design Consultant’s reports, design documents and contractors’ submissions to ensure the interface requirements are properly incorporated; • Established processes for interface management; review and monitor the specification, design, development and execute interface tests involving railway systems; • Coordinated interface design to ensure that all interface requirements are incorporated; monitored and kept track of interface related submissions and status; recommended mitigation measures for delay or changes due to interface/integration problems; and• Defined and implemented a system integration framework; including the development of system architecture diagrams, system integration test list and the maintenance of a system’ requirements tracking data base to ascertain compatibility and to minimize integration problems during construction and commissioning.

Responsible for the railway systems engineering & maintenance (E&M) functions for the Dubai Metro Project. The Dubai Metro is a fully Driverless system, which has a total track length of 74.8 km, 37 stations, and three automated depots. Mr. Lee was responsible to ensure that the ATC and Systems, which include Automatic Train Control, Operation Control, Communications and Automatic Fare Collection systems of Dubai Metro are maintained to meet the agreed standards to the satisfaction of our customers within the budget and resource constraints. The Dubai Metro Red Line and Green Lines were launched in 2009 and 2011 respectively• Recruited E&M managerial and technical staff, developed their competencies and managed their performance and development in the workplace;• Defined competency standards for operations and maintenance personnel and developed procedures, work instructions and training materials in support of this;• Liaised with the large range of culturally diverse stakeholders across the project during design, construction and operation stages;• Managed and controlled the configuration and integration of all railway systems;• Defined and procured tools, equipment, spares and services in support of operations and maintenance;• Witnesses System Integration Test and led the demonstration of operational readiness prior to launch of Dubai Metro;• Managed the performance of maintenance activity, fault correction, incident investigation and service recovery;• Contributed strongly towards operational service performance by regularly providing senior operations representatives with technical guidance and support so as to meet the defined Key Performance Indicators; • Established regular communication meetings with RTA (the Client) to highlight area of concerns with recommendations to address the problems; and• Provided engineering inputs and technical supports to the Operation Department to define Operation Strategy and Plan.

• Responsible for the Systems Integration functions for the West Rail Project. The West Rail has a total track length of 34 km, nine stations and a depot. There were 17 major civil contracts and 20 Railway Systems contracts amount to a total value of over USD $5billion, which was launched for passenger service on programme in December 2003;• Prepared and implemented the Systems Engineering Plan for the West Rail Project.• Established interface management framework to ensure that interface issues are identified at an early stage and efficiently coordinated and resolved; • Encouraged partnering approach with the interfacing parties to ensure proper level of communications, coordination and integration exists between the various technical design disciplines;• Reviewed the interface documents submitted by the Contractors to ensure correctness and completeness;• Followed-up and resolved interface issues to minimize cost and programme impacts to the project.
