As an MS holder in Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, I am eager to apply my research and data analysis skills to address real-world economic issues and inform policy decisions. I have completed several courses on topics such as microeconomics, macro-econometrics, corporate finance, and international finance, and I am currently in my last semester of the program. I have also gained useful knowledge in using programming languages including STATA, and MATLAB in analyzing economic models.Previously, I was a Business Development Intern at Genivity, a health tech startup that provides personalized and predictive financial insights on health risks and costs. There, I supported the sales and marketing team by creating and delivering presentations, conducting market research, and generating leads. I also participated in weekly meetings with the CEO and other senior leaders, where I contributed to the strategic planning and product development of the company. Additionally, I have over three years of experience as a Resident Assistant at Marist College, where I demonstrated my leadership, communication, and organization skills by creating and facilitating educational programs, enforcing rules and policies, and mentoring and supporting 50 residents. I am a dedicated, spirited, and hardworking student and professional, who is passionate about helping exact change through economic research that affects businesses and communities. I am also committed to empowering and mentoring others, especially those from underrepresented or marginalized groups. I speak three languages, English, French, and Kinyarwanda, and I have a keen interest in learning about different cultures and perspectives. My goal is to pursue a career as an economist, where I can use my skills and knowledge to make a positive difference in the world.
