Determine Reference Architecture for Guest and Cast applications to streamline development and support of IT applications by reducing the number of disparate technologies used. Champion increased resiliency in the full stack using circuit breakers and the bulkhead pattern to prevent cascading failures in the platform.Research and implement improved garbage collection algorithm in Java Web Services to eliminate large spikes in response time.Identified and resolved issue with excessive memory consumption in Java Web Services by utilizing JMeter, JConsole and Yourkit. This reduced the amount of heap usage by over 500 MB per service and eliminated the need to restart them once a day.Design and implement architecture for concurrently sending disparate web service calls from PHP/Zend Front End to Java Web Services in order to reduce load performance on the LAMP stack. This reduced page load times by up to 50%.Redesign secure authentication and authorization process to handle multiple levels of logged-in state while proactively ensuring compatibility with legacy and affiliate websites.Recognized by peers and management as a “Rock Star” performer for going above and beyond.
