BT developed and commercialized revolutionary bio-based industrial oils synthesized from vegetable oil fatty acids. While managing BT, I - - Closed four VC funding rounds raising $60 million - Developed R&D strategy including filing 150+ patents (80+ issued so far) - Created relationships with senior execs at many of the world's largest oil & chemical companies - Oversaw set-up of manufacturing and distribution of our products - Developed financing partnerships with USDA, JPMorgan, Jefferies LLC, Silicon Valley Bank In March 2018, I negotiated and managed the sale of BT to a large international chemicals PE fund

Lancer Orthodontics manufactured and sold orthodontic products such as brackets, wires and instruments, with a catalog of over 5,000 SKU's. Headquartered in San Diego, with a large manufacturing operation in Mexicali, Mexico. As CEO, I managed sales, manufacturing, distributor relationships, strategy and finance. In May 2008, I negotiated and managed the opportunistic sale of Lancer to an EU based medical products company.

Backed with $300 million of funding from Softbank Venture, I joined BUY.COM to help manage the growth stage of this internet retailing pioneer. Managed much of the day to day operations in addition to accounting and finance. Selecting investment bankers, creating the S-1 and putting in place policies and procedures necessary for an IPO.

Headquartered in Newport Beach CA, (PNBF: NASDAQ) went from very poor performance, losing millions of dollars annually (prior to my arrival) to among the top 3% of banks in the nation four years after I was hired. Under my direction, after-tax ROE in 1998 exceeded 33%. Implemented significant cost reductions coupled with vastly improved earnings through strong growth in all banking divisions. Personally involved in all aspects of the bank's operations, with 15 direct reports. During the 5 years as CEO, the stock appreciated from $3 per share to $35 per share, at which point I negotiated and closed the sale of the bank to US Bank, a national banking institution.

A residential mortgage REIT. Alta was owned 50% by Lehman Brothers, and 50% by private investors. Company was ultimately sold to WAMU, a $100+ billion bank.

Capital Bancorp was the holding company of Capital City Bank, a commercial banking institution. Duties included strategic planning, business development and general management. Negotiated and managed the sale of Capital Bancorp to BancOne, a nationwide banking institution.

Was solely responsible for the acquisition, management and consolidation of four separate banking organizations. Cut overhead of the acquired companies by as much as 50% without material lose of business. Performed acquisition analysis on numerous other banks. Managed the sale of the institution to a large financial organization. Developed and activated procedures for budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning for short and long term goals. Implemented a balance sheet restructuring program to maintain returns while significantly reducing interest rate and credit risks. Responsible for asset/liability management, regulatory analysis and compliance, SEC and NASD issues, and shareholder relations. While at First Federal, capital and assets grew by over 20% per year, while the stock appreciated over 600%, from $4 per share to $29 per share.

Assisted large financial corporations in balance sheet management, and acquisition analysis. Worked on issuance of common equity, money market preferred stock, debt offerings and private placements of securities. One of the two investment bankers responsible for developing, structuring and placing the first non-mortgage Asset-Backed Securities offered by Merrill Lynch.
