-Drove the NEXEN API Product at BNY Mellon to meet the current and future needs of our clients and vendors. Analyzed the market and for standards, trends and competitive advantages. Built strong relationships with customers and technology staff to understand their needs and determine how to evolve product. Defined the product roadmap and regularly adjusted priorities in an agile environment. -Managed an innovative technology program at BNYMellon, transforming the way data is delivered within the financial services industry by utilizing APIs. Successfully launched a brand new product; beat our competitors to the market and created a new revenue stream for the firm. The team consists of 23 resources globally operating with an $8.5M budget for 2017. The highly visible program required extensive experience in tailoring communications and escalation of issues/risks. -Defined scalable business processes in support of onboarding new services to achieve critical mass for successful adoption. Iterated on the process with technology, business and clients to find the appropriate balance of structure and audit controls to ensure quality, efficiency and minimize bottlenecks. Developed training materials, implemented the process and established tracking metrics. -Wored closely with the product owners, project managers and technical leads to drive an Agile process while taking on the ScrumMaster role. The project is using open source software to build a scalable platform and process to facilitate new API development and client consumption of the APIs. Overall program includes an API Store for client developers to browse available APIs, all related infrastructure for hosting, management analytic data and operational procedures.

-Oversaw a portfolio of over 35 simultaneous software development projects ranging in sizes from very small to large. The work was to build customized data delivery solutions, including accounting reports, general ledger feeds and financial data files. The globally diverse project team consisted of over 30 resources, with members in Boston, Chennai, New York and Pittsburgh. -Increased resource efficiency by redefining the SDLC process to improve efficiency and automate reporting. This included streamlining the documentation set to reduce unnecessary paperwork while satisfying PMO requirements. Documented new and existing processes as swim lanes and flowcharts to train team members. As a result of this, in 2014, I was able to increase the software capitalization rate by 20% and reduce the amount of time spent on administrative tasks by 23% and production support by 7%. -Throughout my tenure in this role I increased the efficiency of the Project Manager role by 50% through automation and elimination of redundant tasks as compared to the previous Project Manager. I introduced scorecard reporting for tracking key project indicators and metrics, which became the model for all other Project Managers within the team.

-Lead analyst on concurrent projects to develop technology solutions that solve client reporting/data needs. Analyzed client business processes, existing software and financial/accounting data needs to elicit detailed requirements for new data delivery solutions. Transformed the requirements into user stories and functional specifications to convey what needed built to the development teams. Acted as the liaison between the client and the technical team to ensure the product we delivered, solved the business needs. Solely responsible for all quality assurance testing and coordination of all user acceptance testing. -Worked heavily with financial accounting data within the bank to synchronize with our clients' various accounting software packages and data platforms. -Drove a major change across the team to improve the manual testing process. Prior to my arrival on the team, all testing was manual and data validation was performed using spreadsheets and macros. I researched and evaluated several automation options and introduced the team to Beyond Compare tool, an off the shelf file comparison application. This change increase efficiency and accuracy, allowing more complete testing of extremely large data files and reports.

-Management consultant for a regional concrete manufacturing plant, brought into the company to establish a new production plant in Pittsburgh. Managed the construction project to build a new industrial manufacturing plant for ready-mix concrete. -Responsible for a team of plant personnel whose job was to manufacture concrete products to exact specifications for PA DOT and commercial contractors. Managed a team of drivers to ensure timely delivery of the perishable product and to keep product within the industry defined range of tolerances until final product placement. Assumed ownership for total customer satisfaction.

-Managed all phases of multiple concurrent residential construction projects. Simultaneously led projects at multiple geographic locations. Responsible for an average yearly budget of $6M with an average of 20 new homes per year. Consistently identified several areas for cost savings that had no impact on end product quality. -Maintained multiple schedules for all active jobs while controlling all project resources including labor and materials. Recruited, negotiated and trained new subcontractors. Performed quality control inspections for all project phases and tracked defects through completion. -Worked directly with home buyers from ground breaking through one year warranty period. Walked them through the construction of their home each step of the way, holding multiple walk-throughs and managing their expectations on delivery dates and quality. Built relationships with local authorities and associations to ensure the community saw the benefits of the new development. Worked closely with the inspection agencies and engineering departments to ensure all codes were met and construction was to spec and cost efficient.

-Lead analyst on a project to design a shared portal web development platform for which all lines of business would utilize for new web development projects. The charter for this project was to simplify web communications and allow for rapid development of new business applications. -Gathered and rationalized requirements from internal customers with diverse expectations, including senior and executive managers. Devised solutions that met the business needs while allowing for future expansion as the business evolves. Translated requirements into functional documents for the technical team. Developed test plans, wrote test scripts, created use-case scenarios, executed testing and monitored progress and participation of testing group. Documented all defects and tracked their status through completion in user acceptance testing.-Led a stretch project to refine the software development process for a newly merged technology group of 150 employees. Met with key project managers from three groups to examine and model existing processes. Compared processes used by all groups and determined critical areas. Defined a project life cycle, documented new processes and developed a training program to educate all employees.
