Managed the Safety and Industrial Hygiene Programs for NGC’s state of the art assembly plant; elements included hearing conservation, industrial hygiene sampling/analysis, lockout/tagout, F-35, accident investigation programs, indoor air-quality and suspected microbial growth studies Coordinated the transition of the manufacturing plants assembly line for the F-35 (one of the world’s most advance fighter aircraft manufacturing plants), from a manual assembly line to an integrated assembly line Developed and implemented a Hard Hat Program reducing the number of impact and abrasion injuries from “elevated” to essentially zero, saving the company tens of thousands in lost work days and workers’ compensation costs during the assembly line transition Conducted acoustical engineering studies and reviewed octave band sets. The resulting analysis was subsequently used to successfully provide a demonstration of compliance with OSHA and ensure hearing conservation and environmental noise preservation Performed root cause analyses; created and presented Quad charts, injury data analysis and intervention solutions to Upper Management In 2013 this plant was awarded the “Assembly Plant of the Year" by Assembly Magazine in recognition for the facility's world-class processes to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve quality
