Provide services to individuals including those with severe emotional or psychiatric issues. As part of a multi-disciplinary team assess concerns and situation of a client at the individual, family, and environmental level. Work with children, families, and adults from a variety of social/economic backgrounds. Provide a diagnosis according to the criteria established by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Collaborate with clients in developing treatment plan goals with measurable objectives. Understand resources available to support clients in reaching their goals and assist in accessing those resources. Provide services to individuals presenting in crisis clinic including: crisis intervention and de-escalation, risk assessment, screen for hospitalization, development of diversion plans to avoid hospitalization, and provide assistance in accessing community resources.

Train and provide coaching on the daily work activities of case managers. Provide case management consultation to assist case managers in service delivery. Establish therapeutic relations with youth and families from a variety of social/economic backgrounds who are struggling with sever emotional disturbances. Collaborate with clients in assessing their strengths/needs, in developing a treatment plan, and in developing a multi-disciplinary team. Understand resources available to support clients in reaching their goals and assist in accessing those resources. Coordinate services for clients and monitor progress. Provide coaching to youth in the development of coping skills and work with parents in identifying ways to support their children. Provide supportive services to children, families, and adults in crisis.

Supervise a team of ten case managers working to maintain children with psychiatric issues in the community and prevent hospitalizations and/or removal from home. Train and provide coaching on the daily work activities of case managers. Provide case management consultation to assist case managers in service delivery. Hire new case managers, monitor and review performance to ensure quality service delivery, and develop performance improvement plans as necessary.
