I knew at about age 15 that I wanted to do something fun, exciting, challenging, competitive and to also help make a difference. After traveling around with the US Navy, I landed on a sailboat in King Harbor Marina in Redondo Beach and into a bartending gig just down the street. I eventually got into the advertising business in Los Angeles and it was at an exciting time. The Columbia movie business was on fire, ATT, Coke, Wells Fargo, Hilton Hotels and the California Milk Board all kept me busy at McCann-Erickson. I saw an opportunity to get into an even more exciting side of the business and got into selling media versus buying it.I’ve worked, sold and managed in Los Angeles, Austin, Texas and in Knoxville, Tennessee. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Buckley Broadcasting, Petry Television, LIN Television and Gannett Broadcasting. At Gray Television/WVLT-TV I match up advertising opportunities and sports sponsorships with major national and local clients. The past several years have offered a lot of interesting and challenging experiences. Today I can offer TV, VOD, digital, mobile and can help navigate SEO, SEM, Search and website development. It’s challenging and exciting and its great hearing about the many successes my team and I help with every day. I have also served on many non-profit boards volunteered on several occasions to try to give back just a little.
