As a seasoned climate change manager and leader, I have spearheaded interdisciplinary agriculture research for development teams, focusing on water sustainability, regenerative agriculture and Best Management Practices (BMP) in cotton and grain cropping systems. My dynamic roles in Australasia span engineering, higher education, agricultural research for development (R4D), conservation extension, and stakeholder capacity-building and engagement. I have served as a Country Program Manager, Project Director, Lead Research Scientist, and an advocate for action and acceleration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for climate change mitigation and adaptation. My experience includes developing and implementing climate change strategies, monitoring and evaluating field programs, and conceptualizing technical direction in regenerative agriculture, food security, and value chain development projects in the cotton and grains industries in Australia, China, and South Asia. I possess excellent skills in multi-stakeholder community engagement, negotiating and cooperating with national governments, intergovernmental organizations, and agribusiness, which extends to sustainability in the Ready-made Garment industry in Bangladesh. My skills in research, capacity building, integrated value chains, and community engagement are focused on sustainable economic growth, GHG accounting, livelihoods, climate change adaptation, agribusiness, and regenerative agriculture, the latter the basis of my doctorate studies. I have an advanced political awareness and private sector perspective on agribusiness sustainability and development, and I possess substantial cross-discipline knowledge of societal and environmental issues and their drivers. I have experience in multi-tasking, communication and engagement, fiscal management and reporting, monitoring, evaluating, adapting, learning, and social inclusion. My transboundary experience has facilitated my practical regenerative and holistic approaches to economic and societal challenges for small landholders, rural communities, and related agribusiness and ecosystems.
