My expertise is on industrial applications within design and manufacturing, utilizing a synergistic approach combining both theoretical and computational models. My recent research delves into a detailed CFD investigation of cryogenic multiphase flow of liquid nitrogen (LN2) under microgravity conditions. Supported by NASA and the United States' initiatives to design multiple reduced-gravity cryogenic payloads aimed at studying two-phase flow phenomena. My role involved designing a Propellant Management Device (PMD) for an LN2-filled Dewar tank, ensuring single-phase LN2 outflow during all flight phases. The CFD and structural simulations were carried out using ANSYS FLUENT and ANSYS Static Structural solver, respectively, while a phase change model for cryogenic flow was implemented in ANSYS Fluent to capture phase change phenomena at the liquid-vapor interface.Another significant area of my research involves the hydrodynamic actions experienced by vibrating slender structures immersed in viscous fluids near the free surface. This study is crucial for applications such as marine propulsion, micro-electro-mechanical systems, and atomic force microscopy. By implementing Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) models through DualSPHysics, I have been able to extract hydrodynamic forces and subsequently derive added mass and damping coefficients, providing deeper insights into the Fluid-Structure Interactions (FSI) in these systems. In addition to FSI, I have explored the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for assessing the manufacturing efficacy and performance of profile plastic extrusion dies produced via both subtractive and additive methods. Utilizing ANSYS Polyflow, I conducted simulations that relate polymer flow through the extrusion die to various industry-applied parameters, thus informing the manufacturing process and enhancing efficiency.I also hold a strong academic background in mechanical engineering, having earned a doctorate and master's degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a dual bachelor's and master's degree from Lancaster University. During my academic journey, I was honored with the Chancellor's Medal for outstanding performance at Lancaster University.
