I have maintained these principles with the highest standards in a successful 20-year career where I gained many valuable skills. A few of the highlights include:As a detective assigned to the Family Crimes Unit, I handled a large case load of crimes that included personal crimes such as homicide, domestic violence and sexual crimes. I participated in case investigations and was often assigned as the case lead where I directed team of investigators. - Investigative Strategies: After carefully evaluating the specifics of the case, our first step was to create a strategic plan of what methods or course of action we would take to reach a resolution. - Evidence Collection: While investigating a diverse array of crimes, I used a variety of evidence collection methods. These methods included suspect, victim and witness interviews, video analysis, cell phone forensics, DNA collection and latent print collection as well as consulting medical experts and employing forensic analysts. I thoroughly understand the process of writing subpoenas and search warrants and I know the absolute importance of protecting the chain of evidence.- Documentation Management: In support of prosecuting attorneys, I ensured all case files, documentation and reports were in order and prepared to support legal proceedings – whether the case went to court or not. I successfully prepared written case reports that were instrumental in obtaining convictions. One of my largest cases involved identifying and preparing case evidence that led to conviction of three suspects that committed a triple homicide.

Provided security, law enforcement and emergency response to protect the personnel, assets and resources on military bases. Enforced federal and military (UCMJ) laws, investigated traffic collisions and violations of law, apprehended offenders and testified in federal court. Responded to emergency incidents, controlled scenes and interacted with the public using professional, flexible communication skills. Maintained detailed, thorough and organized documentation of incidents.
