Assignment in Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania). Advice to the CEO and Board of the bank on product strategy and long term growth strategy

Responsible for the management of the entire private banking department of a local Rabobank affiliate. The department has a staff of 35 employees made up of 2 team managers, account managers, assistants and asset managers. The responsibilities can be described in detail as: • strategy formulation• business planning• monthly and quarterly reporting to the board on results, progress and advice on strategic decisions• human resources management• responsible for Credit & Risk Management and auditing of the private clients division of the local affiliate• credit application approval as a member of the Credit Committee• project management• implementation of a new customer service model for private banking in order to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency• process redesign in order to: i) enhance the quality of our services to clients; ii) reduce credit and liability risks for the bank and iii) to operate more (cost) efficiently.

This company provides financial services for the wealthiest privateclients (mostly entrepreneurs of SMEs) of the Rabobank Group.I belonged to the best performers of this bank.Key words: acquisition, sales, developing new businesses.
