Sole tax department member responsible for all areas of US federal, state and local and international compliance and tax planning.

Work with cross-functional teams and business leaders to analyze, recommend and implement tax planning. Additionally, assist in the defense of federal and state income/franchise tax audits. Major responsibilities include:•Supporting domestic and international tax planning projects to achieve business objectives, including modeling and liaising with other company functions such as Treasury, Accounting and Legal •Performing research & analysis in areas of international, federal and state and local corporate and partnership tax •Drafting technical memoranda & other documents related to tax planning projects (work plans, technical presentations, etc.) •Performing & analyzing specialized calculations related to foreign tax planning & compliance, including foreign tax credit, Subpart F, E&P calculations, etc.•Performing analysis related to federal and state tax audits, including interacting with revenue agents, responding to IDRs, preparing settlement scenarios and developing tax position memoranda in defense of proposed adjustments •Supporting the Tax Compliance function by reviewing or preparing Forms 5471, 1118, 8594 and others related to implemented tax planning •Overseeing the successful conclusion of voluntary disclosure projects, as needed •Assisting in ASC 740 (FIN 48) analysis •Performing modeling in defense of deferred tax asset balances, especially state NOLs •Monitoring and staying current on, tax laws, rules and regulations and accounting pronouncements impacting the company

Spent 1.5 years gaining a wide variety of experience with tax research, compliance and consulting on the federal, international, and state/local levels for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. In early 2013 became full time member of the international tax services team working on international consulting and compliance engagements. Significant experience with Forms 5471, 8858, 1120-F, and 1042 preparation, FIRPTA compliance, repatriation consulting and international restructuring projects.
