I am a highly motivated manager with 20 years operational and policy experience working for the National Offender Management Service in both Public Sector Prisons and Headquarters. I have contributed to key aspects of the National Offender Management Service’s and the MoJ's recent major reform programmes including Payment by Results and the Rehabilitation Programme, with a proven track record for being solution focused and working at pace to deliver results. I am experienced in dealing confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and effectively managing virtual team dynamics, particularly when working across departmental and other boundaries to generate commitment to goals. I have extensively used project management skills and techniques to deliver successful outcomes, including identifying risks to operational delivery and mitigating actions.I have over 15 years operational custodial experience, and have led cohesive teams to set priorities, goals, and objectives to timescales, reviewing procedures and systems to identify performance improvements and efficient processes to enable effective decision making. I have particular experience in addressing difficult and complex institutional culture change; I was instrumental in setting up the first Women’s Support Network in the prison service, which was subsequently a finalist for a Ministry of Justice Diversity award in 2009.I am a driven individual with a strong passion for reducing re-offending, and effectuating positive change.
