Department of Water Rights & Contracts and Research ArchivesMy first experience working in utilities and policy. It was at this point in my career that I decided energy was the path I was going to take in sustainability. What do we need more than anything in this world today? Water and Power.

I learned how construction projects actually get built in the real world. •Traveled to survey construction sites and shadowed project managers in the supervision of construction operations and other field work. •Moderate manual labor at job sites - pouring concrete, construction signage, loading/unloading equipment, etc. •Took measurements, read blueprints, assisted with estimating costs, timelines and project management operations, and administrative support as needed. •Took the initiative to implement a profitable recycling program in the office by coordinating construction truck routes where laborers could drop off materials and collect $. This was my first experience working in sustainability and I didn’t even realize it at the time.
