Woody Woodhall, CAS is Studio Principal of Allied Post Audio in Santa Monica, CA and is an award winning supervising sound editor, sound designer and re-recording mixer. He has sound supervised and mixed feature films and documentaries and for television he’s recorded VO’s, sound edited and mixed hundreds of episodes of programming that has been broadcast or streamed on Netflix, Amazon Studios, YouTube Red, Vice, MTV, The CW, Comedy Central, Food Network, Freeform, Nat Geo, History, USA Network and VH-1 to name a few.Recent television mixing includes the CNN Film’s presentation, “No Ordinary Life“, the first season of the series “Wasteland“ for Paramount+, “Cal Fire” for Discovery Network, three seasons of “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour” for A&E, and the first season of “Dopesick Nation” for Viceland. Recent feature mixing includes the film release, “The Greatest Inheritance” starring Mena Suvari and Jaleel White, as well as the award-winning feature documentary about the electronic music superstar, “Moby Doc.”A filmmaker as well as a sound professional, he is a producer of the acclaimed feature length documentary “Joe Frank – Somewhere Out There” as well as the film “Silent Radio” which won Best Foreign Film – USA at the European Independent Film Festival. He has directed and produced the award winning pilot, “Contact High”, a project that he also wrote. Other directing projects include “Protocol”, an award winning science fiction short film and a short documentary which he also edited, “Why Do I Exist?”, that won best picture editing in the experimental category at the 2009 Los Angeles Reel Film Festival. Author of the college textbook, Audio Production and Post Production, Woody’s book is used at universities across the world. He is a contributing blogger to ProVideo Coaltion on audio matters under his channel Sound For Picture. He also teaches the course "Post-Production Sound For Film and Television" at UCLA Extension.Woody is Founder of Los Angeles Post Production Group (LAPPG), with a membership of over 5,000, where he shares his filmmaking expertise alongside other working professionals and industry leaders on a monthly basis for the LA post production community.
