In this role at YouthBuild Boston I have managed the systems for data collection, entry, and reporting on student demographics and outcomes through the creation and regular review of forms and systems used for internal and external reporting requirements. I am the primary staff person responsible for data entry required for various private and public (city, state and federal) grants. In an effort to foster timely communication on student progress and decision making regarding student transition and exit planning I organize and facilitate student asset development and benchmark tracking meetings.I oversee reimbursable contract compliance (AmeriCorps, SNAP Employment & Training) by managing online grant accounts, and ensuring needed eligibility documentation is completed prior to enrolling students and oversee the SNAP Outreach program component.I have functioned as project manager for service day events by working as liaison with community partners & corporate sponsors, coordinator, and facilitator of staff and student preparation, execution & reflection. To ensure a culture of services is embedded in all programming components and that service projects continue to be successful I facilitated the development of the Building Trades Exploration programs Service-Learning Curriculum.I developed an outline, or model, for YouthBuild Boston student recruitment cycles, worked with staff across programs & roles (Program Managers, Recruiter, Case Managers) to review & plan for implementation of the recruitment cycle model while also adjusting to reality of operating during COVID-19 Pandemic,Additionally I have managed the agenda creation and note-taking for weekly Managers Meetings & bi-weekly Case Manager meetings and assisted with internal technical support by functioning as a liaison between staff and outsourced IT providers, troubleshooting issues, assisting with purchasing IT equipment and providing support to staff as needed.

Data Services & Affiliated Network Responsibilities:My year of service with the Data Services and Affiliated Network departments was focused around the creation of a new a web-based data collection and reporting application utilized by local YouthBuild programs who are members of the YouthBuild USA Affiliated Network to enter program data for quarterly reporting. I documented the features of the new system in the format of a how-to guide. This documentation consists of over 25 articles available in an online knowledge base for local program staff to access.I functioned as the project manager of the roll-out process of the new data collection and reporting application. In this role I scheduled, planned, and facilitated meetings and utilized an online project management tool to organize the process and keep the project on track.I drafted communications shared with the field related to the launch of the new system and available support.I analyzed external email communications to initiate a conversation around the effectiveness of YouthBuild USA's communication practices.VISTA Leader Responsibilities:While performing duties related to my VISTA position in the Data Services & Affiliated Network Departments, I also had the additional responsibility of supporting fellow YouthBuild USA AmeriCorps VISTA Members performing their years of service at YouthBuild Programs across the U.S.I provided support to the more than 40 YouthBuild VISTA Members by planning and facilitating monthly small group conference calls, conducting individual check-in calls, assisting with the planning and facilitation of bi-monthly webinars, as well as participating in a YouthBuild VISTA Facebook Group.I assisted the YouthBuild VISTA Program Director and Coordinator in organizing YouthBuild USA's AmeriCorps VISTA recruitment processes by documenting and creating recruitment timelines & procedures.

During my year of service with the Knowledge Management Department at YouthBuild USA I was responsible for general upkeep of the YouthBuild Knowledge Bank and Community of Practice; online repositories of resources for YouthBuild staff at local programs across the U.S.. This work included tasks such as uploading new materials, writing brief descriptions and identifying keywords to list for each new material, as well as adding each new item to their respective catalog and deleting duplicate or unnecessary materials.I worked on a Resource Gap Analysis in order to ascertain what resources YouthBuild Program staff and participants need that are not currently provided on the Knowledge Bank or the Community of Practice. This was a multistage project that began with creating a work plan which can be replicated for future gap analysis projects. Followed by compiling an inventory of all exiting resources, pulling information from previous evaluation and discussion postings, creating and distributing surveys, conducing focus groups, and analyzing Knowledge Bank usage statistics. The final stage was compiling all of the findings into a narrative report.I assisted with the migration of the Community of Practice to a new platform. This required updating existing records and creating new records of all materials available so that they can be easily transferred.I created, and facilitated, a training for YouthBuild USA staff on how to best utilize the Knowledge Bank.I continually updated an existing Knowledge Management Manual so that it best describes tasks that the Knowledge Management Department is responsible for.I use Google Analytics each quarter to create reports on the usage statistics of the YouthBuild Knowledge Bank.

As Operations Intern at Friendship Donations Network I assisted the Program Coordinator with making operations more efficient by creating, updating and editing documents in order to increase accessibility and facilitate continued and widespread use. One of my main projects was editing and updating the organization's handbook so that it was more concise and able to be distributed. Additionally, I researched and compiled a list of similar organizations and their operations to use as reference as the organization planned for it's future.
