I am a Baton Rouge native and graduated from LSU in May 2024 with a degree in Mass Communication, with a concentration in Political Communication and triple-minors in Criminology, Sociology, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. In my time at LSU I served as the Overall Chair of LSU Ambassadors, a diverse organization dedicated to fostering servant leadership in students as well as working university events for students and faculty and their families. I also served as the Assistant Director of Diversity for LGBTQ+ Students in Student Government. Our department, which won Best Department of the Year in 2023, focused on enhancing the experience of minority students and minority student organizations through collaboration, programming, and policy. I have a passion for the intersections between gender and sexuality, politics, and the criminal justice system. I plan to pursue a Master’s in Criminology/Criminal Justice and focus my research on interrogation science, the media’s depiction of policing, and criminological policy.Thanks for looking!
