She is currently working at Mediar Therapeutics, supporting research efforts to discover and develop novel therapies for the treatment of chronic fibrotic pathologies including MASH/NASH, IPF, CKD, & CVD, contributing to the development of novel antagonistic antibody therapies.From 2020-2023 she led preclinical PK/PD and efficacy studies at Gilead Sciences to advance novel small molecule therapies for metabolic, fibrotic, and inflammatory targets.From 2017-2020 she drove research efforts at Novo Nordisk, specializing in assay development for validation of kidney fibrosis disease targets. Allie also provided insight and direction for lead optimization and preclinical efficacy testing of novel therapies for liver fibrosis, diabetic kidney disease, and type 1 diabetes, contributing to the development of a novel plasmid-based immunotherapy.From 2014-2017 she was was an Associate Scientist at Biogen in Cambridge, MA, identifying new therapeutic targets in chronic diseases of the kidney and CNS, which generated a pipeline of therapies, including blocking antibodies for lupus nephritis and small molecule inhibitors for multiple sclerosis. Here she was responsible for the design and direction of preclinical stage studies to support early target validation and lead optimization programs with a diverse group of scientists.Prior to joining Biogen, she managed a basic sciences laboratory at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA). Additionally, as a technical scientist on this team, she contributed to 7 peer-reviewed publications. Major scientific contributions include elucidating the role of microRNA-21 in metabolic dysfunction and chronic kidney disease progression.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATONS:• Strong experience with in vivo systems: directing/coordinating with external CROs & internal animal scientists; writing/amending IACUC protocols; engineered mouse models; dosing; functional assays; health evaluation; necropsy.• Competency in multiparameter flow cytometry analysis of murine blood and tissue• Strong experience with cell line and primary cell culture and in vitro functional tests: proliferation; bioenergetic analysis; cell death; immunocytochemistry; cytokine production; MSD immunoassays; ELISA; Western blot; RT-qPCR.
