What started as a conversation about how to de-silo our innovation process, ended in a new role to facilitate creative conversation across boundaries and act as a champion for the bottom-up idea.VOICE OF THE CONSUMERIn traditional design-thinking form I'm helping to open our eyes and ears to the experiences of users within and outside our industry by simply asking the right questions. We're looking for gaps and tension points that can be turned into solutions. I use a combination of sketchpads and post-it notes to tell their stories.LEAN INNOVATORIn not so traditional form, I'm trying to break through silos and lead cross-functional teams through rapid experimentation and validation. LEAD ENGINEER AND PROJECT MANAGERGuided cross-functional project teams through three successful new commercial cardio platform launches for the Matrix brand. Responsible for balancing industrial design and engineering in pursuit of established marketing specifications. Managed manufacturing hand-off and quality documentation, including frequent travel to Taiwan to collaborate with production engineers and factory.

Oversaw the opening of a satellite office in Madison, WI. Responsible for employee performance and resource allocation, in addition to acting as lead engineer and project manager for numerous consumer products.
