Led a multi-disciplinary team of 30 professionals including production, reservoir, development engineers, geologists, and technologists responsible for the subsurface development, production optimization, forecasting, long range planning, reserves, and capital management of the Oil Sands Properties.• Increased production from 35 to 63 mbbl/d from Jan 2017 to Jan 2019 at the Sunrise project through a focused program of: infill well drilling and wellbore interventions, ESP installation and optimizations, the application of advanced process control and automation for steam distribution, and the successful start and ramp-up of 2 additional well pads.• Reduced the 5 year Sunrise capital plan by $100 million dollars maintaining production outlook, through improved production forecasting, drilling costs savings, and optimized well pair spacing.• Built a highly motivated and engaged team, piloting expanded insights, trust and communication. modules in conjunction with the Human Resource Department.

Led engineers responsible for the development and optimization of thermal production in Saskatchewan and Alberta for the Pike’s Peak South, Rush Lake 1 & 2 and Dee Valley projects and the co-ordination of the reservoir, production, facility engineers, geologists, regulatory and finance teams supporting these assets.• Increased overall production from 30 to 45 mbbl/d with the successful start-up of Rush Lake 2, delivering new well pads and reservoir and production optimizations.• Stewarded an annual budget of $250-$350 million/year to support both greenfield and brownfield projects, delivering all projects ahead of schedule.• Achieved ramp-up to nameplate at Rush Lake 1 in under 3 months from first steam, implementing leading circulation practices and identifying high performing wells for start-up.

High-graded the Alberta oil sands assets outside of Sunrise, including the creation of a development plan for the Husky McMullen property and led the team that executed a 40 well winter delineation drilling and seismic program, commercializing the asset for Husky.

• Performed consultancy services on optimization of existing SAGD assets, development of large and small scale SAGD including the investigation of electrical projects.• Provided training and courses.

Oversaw the team responsible for the startup of the Saleski Grossmont Pilot.

• Created full field development, asset evaluation, production optimization plans, and the investigation of solvent and electrical projects for both small and large-scale oil companies• Provided cutting-edge SAGD training and courses to foster talent pool skills, work performance and associated metrics

Supported the successful corporate process of seeking strategic alternatives through the design of a SAGD pilot for Axe Lake, and performing the economic evaluations of the Axe Lake, Wallace Creek, Raven Ridge and Eagle’s Nest Properties.

• Increased production from 28mmbbl/d to 50mmbbl/d, through steam distribution and production optimization in addition to the introduction of artificial lift• Developed the Firebag plan to grow from 50 to 365mbbl/d, incorporating the addition of 3 new stages, including AER applications, corehole and horizontal well drilling, and an infill well drilling scheme

• Selected Jackfish as Devon’s thermal asset performing the reservoir and economic evaluations• Received sanction for the Jackfish Project from the Devon Board of Directors, developing a full field development plan for the asset, working with the facilities team to develop a capital profile and performing economic sensitives• Technical lead on the DOVAP Pilot, a thermal solvent pilot
