I joined the food research group with a strong passion for food engineering and a keen interest in exploring sustainable energy solutions. I then engaged in a multidisciplinary team focused on investigating the production of diesel fuel from cooking oil waste, leveraging knowledge gained from food engineering coursework that was completed as a part of this position. The team conducted extensive literature reviews to gain insights into existing research and technologies related to biodiesel production and alternative fuel sources. We collaborated with senior researchers to design and execute experiments, aiming to optimize the conversion process and maximize fuel yield. This experience in a food research group allowed me to apply theoretical concepts learned during food engineering classes to a real-world research project. During my enriching internship within the water sector, I gained hands-on experience in various aspects of water treatment and management. Some of my key accomplishments include:Water Treatment: I assisted in the design and optimization of water treatment processes, including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection. I collaborated with senior engineers to analyze water quality parameters and recommend appropriate treatment strategies to meet regulatory standards.Process Optimization: I conducted experiments and data analysis to optimize treatment processes, seeking ways to enhance efficiency, reduce chemical usage, and minimize environmental impact. I developed innovative solutions, such as implementing advanced oxidation processes or integrating membrane technologies.Project Support: I provided valuable support to ongoing projects, including data analysis, technical research, and report writing. At 3 Point Play Ministries I supervised the female employees. This included managing schedules, ensuring they had all the supplies they needed, facilitating their travel, and filling in for anyone unable to fulfill their duties.

As a library desk worker, I work directly with the patrons to facilitate any of their needs. This includes helping locate books, using the school’s website, monitoring student activity and noise level, allowing students to access study rooms, shelving books, and much more.

As a teachers assistant I moved throughout the class room assisting the students in the Exploring Physics course. I helped them come up with project ideas and assisted with some homework questions. As the reader I grade quizzes and homework.

As a teller, I worked directly with the members from my own cash drawer that I balanced daily. Other balancing operations I performed include counting the vault, cash control, and submitting checks. I completed transactions such as deposits and withdrawals that include varying sums of cash and/or checks. I was also responsible for several different monthly reports. In October, 2016, I received the “Stellar Teller Certificate of Excellence.”
