I recruit, interview, train, and manage this group of volunteers for our hospice and hospice residence. I work with the hospice team of nurses and social workers to place volunteers in appropriate roles in congruence with their skills and interests as well as the needs of our patients.

I am responsible for creating and executing marketing plans for the company in addition to effectively managing the area rug and tapestry showroom. I maintain the social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest and reach out to prospective online retailers to feature our products. I perform secretarial duties including phone and email followup with potential buyers, and I conduct showroom sales for local customers.

I worked for UMass Concessions while living at school. I worked in a team atmosphere with other undergraduate employees to deliver fast and friendly food and beverage service to attendees at sporting events, concerts, and other activities held at the Mullins Center.

Millbury, Ma

I worked at this franchise during my school breaks creating a positive atmosphere for customers, developing unique sandwiches for every customer, training new employees, assisting the manager in making bank deposits, and placing food and beverage orders.

I assisted the Public Affairs Department with drafting marketing documents, database management, creating press releases, taking photographs for the media, contacting local media outlets, and organizing hospital events with the American Red Cross and the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.

As a Brand Ambassador for OnTip gloves, a start-up glove company with unique smartphone technology, I worked with a marketing team to increase brand awareness on the UMass Amherst Campus. We also attended winter events including the Boston Ski and Board Expo to utilize guerilla marketing tactics to engage a niche market. I was responsible for updating and maintaining the Facebook account for the UMass Amherst OnTip Gloves page.

I held this summer internship position in the Framingham, MA location of the American Cancer Society. I worked to update databases and perform online research.
