Ally Beggs is a passionate educator in the heart of rural Minnesota. Through her journey, which includes experience in alternative learning environments, she has developed an understanding of complex student needs and the importance of creating inclusive spaces for all. Ally has exceptional differentiated instruction, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care skills. Now, as a middle school educator, she leverages her expertise to build strong connections with her students and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Ally has a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Catherine University, where she won the Sister Ann Harvey Award for her action research project on social-emotional learning (SEL) skills in the middle school classroom. As a leader in developing SEL curriculum, Ally leverages her deep understanding of educational standards and effective teaching practices to design engaging and impactful learning experiences for students.Ally is also a passionate mentor nurturing the growth and well-being of new teachers, student teachers, and colleagues within her district. Through her guidance, support, and shared expertise, she fosters a collaborative and dynamic professional learning environment for educators. As a mentor, she emphasizes the importance of building genuine connections with students and fostering a classroom environment rooted in empathy and patience. Beyond her professional work, she finds solace and inspiration in Minnesota’s natural beauty, exploring its trails with her family or tending to her garden.
