Collaboratively develop, distribute and oversee implementation of Foundations Learning Skills for industrial technology students (welding, machine tool, automotive and heating and cooling) program in remediation which has increased retention from 20 to average of 85%. Hires regional teachers, provides statewide training and curriculum development and Blackboard online course materials for Foundational Learning Skills, Ivy Tech Industrial Institutes (Current). Develops kinesthetic and project-based academic lessons, computer training and experiential learning for students in accelerated programs for career placement. Developed curriculum for the three-hour life skills course (Fall 2010), and redeveloped one-hour version. The course is designed to teach students how to be successful in all aspects of college life covers basic writing, time management, financial aid planning, study skills and learning styles. Developed lesson plans, experiential in-class activities and grading rubrics. Provided advising support outside of class as needed for more than 100 students. Represented East Central Region in Life Skills Curriculum Development Committee. Obtained Online Course Developer Certification, Spring 2011. Directed all functions of the Office of Resource Development and Ivy Tech Foundation in the East Central Region. Implemented new development software (Raiser's Edge), expanded top prospect lists in Muncie community and planned successful special events. Increased scholarship funds contributed to students. Supervised two budgets totaling more than three million dollars. Obtained an implementation grant from the Ball Brothers Foundation for strategic planning for downtown development, the Muncie Action Plan (MAP).

Consulted for United Way of Delaware County to obtain a federal Weed & Seed grant for $1 million over five years to reduce and prevent crime in Muncie's downtown. Supervised the implementation of Weed & Seed programs including renovations of housing for ex-offenders, collaboration between community corrections and social service agencies to coordinate social services for ex-offenders on parole and probation. Assisted in obtaining dollars and support for neighborhood clean-up and renovation of abandoned properties by ex-offenders to develop job skills. Obtained additional local grants to facilitate meetings between law enforcement and neighborhood leaders. Implemented project to coordinate client needs with a common database to help clients improve their long-term self-sufficiency. Exceeded expected goals to help 14% of clients achieve stable housing and 70% to improve in one area of their lives. Negotiated agreement with University of Iowa to provide training for more than 75 case managers in the Family Development Specialist case management program. Led classes as a certified trainer. Developed similar network for United Way of Madison County as a consultant in Anderson, Indiana. Participated in regional effort to obtain a $50,000 Lilly Endowment grant to expand network to other Indiana communities.

Assisted in writing, research, and application process for three-year, $3 million grant program, Project Aspire. Recruited 15 school districts to participate in advanced placement distance-learning courses from the Indiana Academy Outreach Office at Ball State University. Supervised the production and distribution of math, science and foreign language courses to rural, low-income students. Supervised and implemented two summer camps for more than 100 middle school students to prepare them for advanced courses in high school.

Supervised the production and distribution of live electronic field trip programs for the Indiana Academy via Internet, satellite and two-way videoconferencing. Produced and stage directed live field

Produced and did stage management for electronic field trips at the Field Museum in Chicago and dinosaur dig locations in Utah and Colorado. Recruited teachers for Summer Workshop Programs to train high school teachers specializing in advanced placement courses. Increased enrollment for three-week summer program by nearly 100 percent in Summer Workshops for teachers; 2003-04. Total enrollment exceeded 300. Supervised personnel including a program coordinator, office manager, two multi-media specialists, graduate students and support staff. Increased enrollment in high school distance learning classes by 23 percent. Managed budget of approximately $300,000.

Spearheaded the upgrading of development and alumni publications while containing costs. Used marketing evaluations to determine the viability of projects and new markets. Improved media coverage for student achievements, events, faculty accomplishments, and nationally renowned awards. Supervised, wrote and edited all major seminary publications including --The Mosaic of Louisville Seminary, a 24-page, two-color magazine, published three times a year; Streamlined the ordering process for projects (writing, designing, printing, and mailing), directed project management and made purchase decisions for print shop, copy center and mailroom. Special events coordination included a 1993 Centennial Celebration, piano concerts nationally renowned guests and media events for lectures and awards ceremonies. Managed budget of more than $100,000.
