As Head of Youth Services, I am primarily responsible for the operation of Youth Services, including materials, services, and personnel. I direct the department staff in providing materials and services for children from birth to age 13. This includes collection development, programming, outreach services (including collaboration with local schools), and reference services. I am also responsible for the department’s budget and promotional materials. I work closely with my department, as well as other departments, to complete my duties. I ensure the public a welcoming and educational space for the children of the community.

As Youth Librarian, I was responsible for implementing programming for various ages, including babies and parents. I created and maintained informational literature such as booklists and pathfinders. I participated in the collection development of the department. I stood as a link between the Library and local organizations in outreach activities. I assisted the department manager with various departmental needs.
