- Responsible for determining product classifications (USHTS) for US imports - Perform analysis and documentation of both legal and factual information for classification of products for HTS to ensure smooth and accurate customs clearance and/or applicable special trade program qualification- US Customs import procedures.- Performing periodic audits of product classifications- Maintain customs classification records to ensure company adherence with Customs rules and regulations and to demonstrate reasonable care- Identify and address government agency requirements for imported or exported products- Assist with maintenance of import/export standard work instructions and controls and collaborate with team members to drive trade compliance solutions for efficiency.- Work with cross functional groups to obtain information necessary for the classification of the goods we import/export- Analyze, identify and classify parts to ensure full import and export compliance- Review and implement procedures to maintain record-keeping systems/process in compliance with US Customs and International regulations.- Perform regular internal/external audits including customs brokers to identify disclose and/or work to fix any potential import/export concern.- Follow-up controls and update records related to pricing, quality, dates, etc.- Obtain necessary information internally and externally (Vendors, customers, regulatory agencies, etc…) to ensure proper logistics coordination for imports.- Submit documents to legal and/or compliance department as per their request.
