About Allison Dailey

My background + professional experience in technology & education has allowed me to develop a wide range of skills in diversified settings. I've learned to hone in on strengths and be attentive to learning styles of others as well as my own. Innovative and collaborative are words my peers use to describe me. I'm known by my colleagues and supervisors to be a creative influencer, idea generator and spirited, resourceful, dedicated team member.Known as a change-maker and a mover and a shaker; when I'm assigned a project, I think outside the box and find unique ways to blend creativity + functionality. In my ten plus years in school systems & corporate organizations I've had the opportunity to work in public, private, online, blended and charter organizations. From toddlers through adults and struggling through affluent communities, I have proven my ability to adapt the content to the needs of the learner. While I love the teaching profession; I'm passionate about cultivating quality, technology-centered content that is engaging and dynamic. I am devoted to creating curriculum in which meets diverse learning styles AND is relevant to the lives of the learner it serves. In 2013 I founded a lucrative e-commerce + coaching business. I was proactive and decided to learn from leading industry experts. I became well-versed in marketing, sales, communications, graphic and website design, IT systems, network hardware + software as well as customer support services. Without a doubt, I am always learning and applying new skills to any project or task I'm assigned to. Friends, family and colleagues often come to me for advice, consulting and resources. If I don't know the answer to a question I will find or figure it out! Connecting with people while learning through technology comes second nature to me. Once I learn, I want to make it relevant and share it with others!

Facilitated adolescents/disaffected youth in the completion of their high school diploma. Students communicated with me via computer and were required to check in daily as part of their program. I enhanced lessons using technology and helped to make their work "real life" applicable. Connection and breaking down tough subjects into small digestible chunks was a huge part of being an effective WAY mentor. In summary: I was not the student's "teacher" but they I held them accountable, facilitated in managing their workload and made every effort to help keep them on track for graduation. I was the main communicator or messenger between the student, their teachers and team leaders/counselors. Working in the WAY program and seeing students earn their diploma despite their tough circumstances was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had!
