From the age of nine years old I wanted to be a veterinarian. Propelled by my deep love of animals and a fascination with science, I was able to pursue my dreams of becoming a veterinarian, attending Louisiana State University following a pre-veterinary curriculum. After two years of pre-veterinary studies at Louisiana State University, I was accepted into Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, I worked one year as an associate veterinarian at a small animal clinic in my home town of Lake Charles. I then moved to Austin, Texas and worked again at a small animal clinic as an associate veterinarian. Currently, I work in Houston at Gulfgate Animal Hospital. I am thrilled to be working with a team of wonderful veterinarians. Working at Gulfgate Animal Hospital has allowed me to sharpen my surgery skills. It also has afforded me the opportunity to help to treat a wide range of pets, with various medical and surgical problems.
