- Perform daily husbandry tasks like cleaning habitats, preparing diets, and feeding birds- Administer medications and maintain medical records- As a part of the “baby team”, help raise and tube feed baby macaws- Train birds for free flight shows, including individual birds and flocks of macaws- On the road show teams for the Magnificent Macaws demonstration at the Indianapolis Zoo and the Birds of the World show at the Texas State Fair

- Lead week-long day camp programs for a variety of age groups (Pre-K to 8th grade) with class sizes of up to 16 children.- Follow a themed curriculum and modify daily activities based on the needs of the group.- Teach children about the animals in the zoos care and teach activities including games, crafts, and dissection.- Handle behavioral issues within the classroom and discuss these issues with parents in a respectful way.

- Assist Primate Keepers with the maintenance of the primate building's exhibits and holding areas- Prepare diets for both small and large primates and distribute daily medications- Create and distribute enrichment based on positive reinforcement- Assist with training sessions and become familiar with operant conditioning

Coffman Memorial Union Post Office- Provide leadership for a team of 10-12 Student Managers and Customer Service Associates- Develop and schedule employee training programs and materials; train, coach, and evaluate staff; lead staff meetings.- Produce and analyze inventory and sales reports and propose operational improvements.- Promoted in the Fall of 2017.

Coffman Memorial Union Post Office- Inform customers about the available postal services and guide them to the best option for sending their packages or other mail items.- Maintain a clean and organized work area and suggest improvements where necessary.- Work independently with a diverse customer base.

- Assist with sea otter food prep, preparing daily feeds as well as treats and toys for enrichment.- Clean sea otter and seal exhibits and holding areas.- Run audio/visual for seal demonstrations.- Assist with training sessions and animal observations.- Work with mentor to learn about various animal care topics such as nutrition, animal health, and training.

- Using artifacts, create conversations with zoo visitors about exhibits and environmental issues.- Be knowledgeable about the zoo's collection and daily events as well as conservation efforts.

- Greet guests as they arrive at the aquarium, detailing the daily events and shows available to visitors.- Answer miscellaneous questions about the Shedd's collection, show times, and the greater Chicago area.
