Responsible for support of business areas by means of research, analysis, testing, documentation and training of larger and more complex systems and/or procedures. Work with end user and technical personnel. Participate fully in the project development process, contributing to the development, enhancement and maintenance of company and vendor systems on various platforms. Participate in the decision making process with the unit management as well as on project teams, and make recommendations to effect change.Assist in the development of automated business solutions in accordance with company System Development Methodology including, but not limited to:Consult with other areas of IT and the business areas, gaining and providing technical and/or business guidance to assist in decision making.Work with end user to prepare business need presentation and documentation, including analysis of impact on existing systems and procedures.Develop, document and execute test plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements and successful project implementation.Participate and provide leadership in the creation of project plans, estimates, schedules, and status reports.Participate with teammates in evaluating designs to ensure they meet the business requirement of the customer.Move team objectives and project forward through the employment of influence skills.Perform the role of Lead Analyst, as defined in the description of that role, and act as meeting Facilitator when needed.Perform the role of Project Manager, as defined in the description of that role.Perform research and analysis activities including, but not limited to:Research, coordinate, and track problems to resolution.Investigate and recommend system, policy and/or procedural improvements.Perform workflow analysis, create workflow diagrams, and make recommendations for procedural improvements.Perform analysis necessary to ensure effective implementation of statutory/regulatory changes.Perform ad hoc research projects.Review/evaluate vendor software packages to meet established business needs; assist with contract negotiations and maintenance agreements.Understand and represent the designated functional area(s) and communicate their needs effectively.Support the business needs of the functional area on company subcommittees when requested.Manage vendor relationships and function as liaison with business areas.
