Evaluated and treated students ages 3-14 with speech/language impairment at West Education Campus and Stuart-Hobson Middle School. Collaborated with families, general education teachers, special education teachers, and school administrators to identify students and provide therapeutic intervention.

Political appointee to President Obama’s administration under U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King, Jr. Collaborated with senior staff and the Director of Scheduling and Advance to review and make strategic recommendations for the Secretary’s schedule. Presented recommendations to the Secretary regarding his engagement in speeches, meetings, conferences, and travel. Liaised with the Office of Communications and Outreach, and the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to ensure that media and political requests which advance the priorities of the Secretary and the Administration. Coordinated events and travel to ensure event logistics and staff were prepared for the event and the Secretary’s arrival. Briefed the Secretary upon site arrival and served as primary contact for all logistical issues throughout each event.

Advised students academically and residentially through direct meetings and community events. As Senior Common Room Coordinator, planned formal lunches and receptions monthly for 150 invited guests, including senior Harvard University faculty members and administration officials, as well as serve as a liaison between Kirkland House and Fellows of Harvard’s Institute of Politics. Provided advance support for "Conversations with Kirkland," a speaker series featuring a variety of guests including former US Senator Kay Hagan, Man Booker Prize winner Marlon James and Grammy-nominated band The Avett Brothers. Supervised student planning of twice-annual formal events with 400+ guests expected in attendance. Served as a representative for University-wide health initiative and effectively communicated findings and recommendations to relevant groups.

Provided play-based, child-centered therapy and assessment to children with a range of speech/language disorders, feeding disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, social-pragmatic deficits, articulation disorders, and fluency disorders primarily between the ages of 18 months to 12 years.

Evaluated and treated students with disabilities in more than 15 public, charter, residential, psychiatric, and therapeutic school settings. Designed and executed staff professional development on best practices in use of interpreters during family communication. Led special education team in best practices to ensure awareness of cultural factors when identifying sources of learning difficulty and communicating findings to families. Provided supervision to Clinical Fellows through direct observations and meetings.

Served a caseload of 30 students in individual and small group therapy. Coordinated with parents and professionals to ensure appropriate provision of services. Collaborated with district personnel to determine appropriate academic placement following evaluation.
