Dr. Jacques serves as Assistant Dean for Assessment at the University of South Carolina's College of Education. She assists and supports the Professional Education Unit with data collection and reporting, including accreditation functions. She works collaboratively with administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and accrediting bodies in the planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of assessment and accreditation efforts across all academic and operational areas within the COE. By serving on the college’s administrative leadership team, Dr. Jacques oversees, coordinates, and conducts assessment and evaluation projects for the college. She also represents the college in university-wide initiatives related to assessment and accreditation.

As Director of the Office of Educator Preparation, Certification and Recruitment,my responsibilities included: Overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of systems for educator preparation programs and units in accordance with state statutes, State Board of Education regulations and State Department policies including the program approval and accreditation process for teacher education, coordinating collaboration and communication with colleges of education, preparing presentations and briefings for Deans’ meetings and facilitating the Professional Review Committee for the review of higher education matters warranting State Board action, coordinating the transition from NCATE to CAEP, serving as state contact to NCATE, CAEP and ETS, supervision and oversight of the certification system for educators in South Carolina, in accordance with regulations, policies and guidelines, including database development, supervision of professional and support staff for all programs, overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Title II Higher Education Opportunity Act Report, serving as Principal Investigator for the federal Teacher Incentive Fund Grant- linking value-added student achievement data to teacher performance, overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of teacher recruitment and retention programs, supervision of alternative routes to teaching, the International Visiting Teachers Program, Troops to Teachers , and the state Teacher of the Year Program, assessment and analysis of data for all programs, preparing presentations and reports for local, state and national audiences, presenting monthly items to the State Board of Education, drafting and presenting state regulations, policies and guidelines, serving as Acting Deputy Superintendent in supervisor’s absence, and representing the State Superintendent of Education at assigned functions.

Duties included; Serving as the chief administrator of the school, developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum, activities and budgets in a manner that promotes the safety and educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. Creating a mission and vision for the school and carrying out the plan of action within the school and community, supervision of the school program, staff, and student body, serving as the instructional leader to ensure student success as a result of data-driven decisions.
