Responsible for the preparation of key clinical documents, including protocols (Phase 1 to Phase 3), CSRs, Investigator’s Brochures, INDs, NDAs, briefing documents, scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters and oral presentations, to support clinical programs and regulatory filings across several therapeutic areas, mainly oncology.

Medicinal Chemist• Co-inventor of MEK inhibitor binimetinib (MEK162, ARRY-438162), which has been approved in combination with encorafenib for the treatment of unresectable or metastatic BRAF-mutant melanoma. Binimetinib is also currently in several other Phase 3 clinical trials for oncology (CRC, ovarian). Responsible for the design and synthesis of binimetinib. • Co-inventor of Array BioPharma’s first small-molecule clinical compound, MEK inhibitor selumetinib (AZD6244, ARRY-142886), which advanced into Phase 3 clinical trials for oncology (NSCLC). Selumetinib is currently being evaluated in a registration trial in patients with NF1.• A major contributor to SAR development, synthesis and patent coverage for the MEK project. Developed synthetic routes and optimized the molecules for ADME properties by traditional medicinal chemistry techniques. Carried out synthetic method development and scale up.• Responsible for the design and synthesis of the compound selected as the second clinical candidate for the MEK Oncology Program, AZD8330 (ARRY-704), which completed Phase 1 clinical trials for oncology.• Contributor to numerous patents on small-molecule kinase inhibitors of MEK, cMet, AKT and ERK for cancer.
