Camp Manito-wish YMCA is a summer camp in Northern Wisconsin that specializes in Wilderness Tripping, where each camper spends time in-camp at the program areas and heads out on a three-seven day wilderness trip. Provide overall direction and day-to-day operations to summer camp and family camp programs. Manage over $1,000,000 in expenses including projections to ensure annual budget goals were met.Provided oversight for program development through weekly strategy meetings with direct reports to ensure program excellence.Provided oversight for a diverse set of program areas that required a set skill sets (ex: waterfront, riflery, archery, horses, etc.).Played a key role in developing new and innovative recruitment techniques for campers and staff.Evaluated programming and made changes to maintain a program of excellence.Interview and hire a diverse team of 250 seasonal summer staff members.Supervise staff recruiters who assist with the interviewing and hiring of new seasonal staff members.Facilitate over 800 Summer Camp campers experiences per summer and over 50 Family Camp families.Set expectations, train and provide feedback to staff members throughout the year.Assist with camper and staff behavior issues, homesickness, and mental health management. Prepared and submitted listing of qualified applicants to Summer Camp Director for review of hire.Assisted in the planning of the summer seasonal administrative staff and summer seasonal staff training schedules.Planned and executed recruitment events to bring in college aged candidates to apply.Re-created hiring goals and objectives in difficult markets to address staffing issues.

Assist with the interviewing of staff for the 2016 summer. Provide programming and facilitate school groups through team building activities and on the high and low ropes course. Helped clean and prep Camp for events and programs. Complete a manual for Outdoor Education internship of interns from Eastern Illinois University outreach undergraduate program.
