As an on-campus ambassador, I am responsible for representing Hilti North America at career events and student functions at Penn State University Park in addition to promoting open internship and full-time roles with Hilti.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I participated remotely in this internship. I analyzed anchor design software to complete an engineering market analysis & competitive advantage comparison. In addition, I led the Intern Volunteer Committee which facilitated a remote volunteer day across the United States for 55 interns.

During a 2-week long winter internship with Manson, I had the opportunity to be introduced to the dredging and marine construction industry. I spent the majority of my time on the crew boats, surveying the canal and boarding the dredge to work closely alongside the crew to complete assignments from the client (United States Army Corp of Engineers).

As a Project Management Intern, I had the opportunity to assist a number of project teams and work on various projects in the Washington D.C. area for private and public clients such as the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Smithsonian Institute, and George Washington University. I performed day-to-day operations with the project Superintendent overseeing 20 man demolition crew on the G.W. Hillel Project while maintaining positive relationships with numerous stakeholders involved in the complex, high profile job. Additionally, I trained in the estimating department, filing requests to bid, assembling, and delivering bids. A major role throughout the summer internship was to prepare deliverables for the owner’s representative and permit expeditor.

As a Project Engineering Intern, I had a number of responsibilities. I coordinated bid requests for Jet-Blue Airline Modernization Project at Fort Lauderdale International Airport, assisted on the Terminal 4 Central Baggage Inspection System VDC coordination team, and conducted site walks to discuss engineering drawings with subcontractors. In addition, this was an introduction to the construction management industry.

As the 6-and-under swim coach, I was responsible for instructing swim team practices each weekday morning. Additionally, I served as a mentor to the younger lifeguards who were training to become coaches. Teaching young children how to swim allowed me to strengthen many skills that have contributed to my personal growth, including team-work and patience.

As a Head Lifeguard at LSCC, I trained new employees on safety precautions, appropriate techniques for situations we often encountered, and protocols for weather emergencies.
