Administer the Industrial Pretreatment Program in accordance with 40 CFR 403 General Pretreatment Regulations, 1976 Pollution Control Act of South Carolina and City of Anderson’s Sewer Use Ordinance.

Member of the Emergency Response Team· Respond to oil/hazardous material releases, fish kills, and other environmental emergencies.· Recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective actions for a spill response. · Ensure that the spill is controlled, contained, and cleaned up in a safe manner without impairing the environment and follow up with a spill report.· Participate in statewide drills involving Federal, State, and Local agencies.Industrial Storm WaterInspect facilities issued the General Permit for Storm-water discharges associated with Industrial activity · Evaluated plant processes and control equipment in permitted and non-permitted facilities.· Schedule inspections to target facilities with past patterns of non-compliance or suspected non-compliance issues.· Inspect/investigate facilities associated with construction storm water discharges. · SWPP plans are reviewed. Technical reports are written, reviewed, and distributed.· Compliance assistance is offered and enforcement referrals are made per Environmental Quality Control guidelines.· Train employees how to conduct inspections. · Attend Public Meetings as required.Regional Wastewater Inspects and evaluates wastewater treatment facilities and No-Discharge waste sites.· Respond to complaints of water pollution and non-point source pollution, as well as those of other EQC programs within the region.· Perform water quality operation and compliance inspections, recommend enforcement action, if warranted. · Review facility DMR forms and internal facility and stream data sheets received in this office for irregularities.· Conduct wastewater sampling during facility inspections, Operation and Maintenance investigation and complaint investigations.· Successfully complete the annual proficiency testing for wastewater field analysis· Reports are written, reviewed, and distributed.· Attend Public Meetings as required.
