I make art which uses light and reflectivity to create a variety of interactive experiences. I use materials such as porcelain, epoxy resin, mirrors, acrylic gel mediums, inks, and tissue papers. My pieces are based on simple geometric and architectural structures. I also build installations, seeking to create immersive and interactive environments.Specialties: small translucent porcelain sculptures inside and through which viewers can observe a variety of light-related phenomena."please touch" installations, in which visitors are invited to touch and build small worlds with porcelain. Large and small mirror pieces, in which viewers can see softened reflections of themselves and their environment.Solid resin sculpture, built in strata-like layers. More recently I have been layering translucent materials such as epoxy resin and acrylic gel mediums onto mirrors to create reflective and luminous pieces. I also use such mirrors to create "pinfields," which means a large field of insect pins with such things as resin droplets, tiny squares of paper, and most recently tiny porcelain elements which I refer to as "ips."
