  At Adventist Health, I am cross-trained to work in the front and back offices. In the front office, I take care of answering phones, checking patients in and out, scheduling follow-up appointments, checking eligibility for insurance, getting prior authorizations for testing and procedures, scheduling procedures at Simi Hospital, confirming appointments, scanning facility documents, results, etc., assisting patients with billing and medical issues, Insurance authorizations, chart preparation, and supply ordering.In the back office, I take care of rooming patients, checking vitals, performing EKGs, drawing blood, and doing intakes on patients. This office is very fast-paced; we usually see around 50-60 patients daily. I train new staff when they are hired for the front and back office. I created a checklist of all of the training materials that include all of the above in regard to the front and back offices.
