My name is Allison, I am the Office Coordinator at United Way of Muscatine. I have only been in this position for a few months, but I am very much enjoying it. Before United Way I worked as an Electronic Banking Specialist with First National Bank. I was in that position for about 4 years. My first year at First National I was a teller. I also worked at Bridgestone in their Emergency Road Service call center. This job really helped me learn how to communicate and listen to the customers. I spent 2 years talking to many different people and learning how to assist them productively over the phone. I have been in a customer service position since I was 16 years old and truly love what I do. I enjoy being able to help someone with an issue, whether that is in person or over the phone. I know by helping the customer I have made their day a little brighter. Currently at United Way of Muscatine I am learning about the business and how nonprofits work. I am assisting with spread sheets for data. I help keep the office organized and am learning new programs. I am finding my new role to be a breath of fresh air!
