About Allison Ramey-Ward

I recently completed my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Emory University and Georgia Tech's joint Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering. My main research interest is studying cell-substrate interactions to guide development of improved regenerative medicine techniques. Specifically, I study how cells interact chemically and mechanically with biomatertials for wound healing and skeletal muscle regeneration, which I have pursued since being an undergraduate research assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am passionate about science and art, and participate in outreach and volunteer work that joins the two.
