As the Senior Director of Digital Learning & Libraries, I provide strategic leadership and management for a team of over 65 staff responsible for comprehensive digital learning and library programs across the district. In this capacity, I also serve as an internal consultant, advising and supporting various teams and stakeholders throughout the district on technology integration and digital transformation initiatives.My scope spans overseeing digital resources vetting, implementation, and support, as well as management of key educational technology platforms like Google, Office 365, ClassLink, TalkingPoints and SchoolMessenger. I consult with academic teams to direct district-wide efforts such as the Canvas LMS expansion project and artificial intelligence strategy implementation. Through collaboration with district attorneys and stakeholders, I help craft and update policies around technology use, instructional materials, and curriculum approvals.I skillfully manage a large budget while leading instructional challenge processes and library collection/facilities planning efforts. As a subject matter expert, I provide qualified guidance to school and district leaders, serving as a clearinghouse for information on digital literacy trends, research, and best practices. Additionally, I advise leadership on strategic planning for digital learning and library media initiatives through data analysis and effective communication.

In my role as Interim Chief Technology Officer, I stepped in to provide comprehensive technology leadership and stable guidance across all 198 schools and for 158,000 students during a time of transition. I swiftly took the reins to execute on the district's strategic technology plan through informed decision-making and collaboration with the Superintendent, Chiefs, leadership team, principals, and school staff. I led district-wide initiatives that promoted technology adoption, implementation, and the integration of digital resources to enhance teaching and learning. I established and supported cross-functional teams to seamlessly address technology needs, curriculum development, professional development, and more. My emphasis was on maintaining continuity of operations, clearly communicating goals and expectations, and empowering teams to stay focused on technology's role in fostering an equitable, innovative learning environment for all students during this interim period.
