I am in my first year as a Marketing Major through the College of Business at Ohio University. I am really enjoying using skills to better learn about market research and how to promote services or products. I have always been interested in healthcare and have always wanted to help others. By being in marketing I want to be able to help others by promoting medical services, products, and even healthcare organizations. My experience outside of Ohio University includes being a retail merchandise associate at HomeGoods. This job allowed me to work in teams with a leading marketing specialist to create end caps and promote the products so more customers would buy them. This job taught me a lot about analyzing customer preferences and how to engage with different target audiences effectively. I also have a big interest in Sales. While working at HomeGoods, if you were working cashier you would have to try and sell the customer a TJX rewards credit card. On average each month I would sell two rewards credit cards.
