I direct the team of data scientists, statisticians, engineers and technical managers who are responsible for research and development of statistical methods for Natera's genetic testing products. This includes supervising cutting edge research in probabilistic modeling of the relevant molecular biology and genetics processes, and driving decision making about future research directions. My team is currently contributing to R & D efforts in prenatal testing, oncology and carrier screening. I develop cross functional timelines from research through product launch and collaborate with commercial and clinical representatives to set product requirements and strategy. I have personally presented Natera's technology at multiple international conferences and at the European Patent Office.
