About Allison Scheller
Hi! My name is Allison Scheller and I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I went to LC Anderson High School, where I graduated a year early to attend college. I graduated cum laude, with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health, from Texas A&M University in May, 2022. While at Texas A&M I volunteered at CHI St. Joseph Hospital and worked a couple of different jobs, giving me experience in a couple of different job fields. After graduating, I moved to Lubbock, TX to be with my now husband, and worked there for a couple of months before moving back to Austin, TX. After we arrived back we took the opportunity to take a two-month road trip around the northwest United States, visiting national parks in places such as Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. After arriving back home, I found a job through State of Texas Department of State Health Services in the newborn screening section. I specifically work for the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia/Lysosomal Storage Disorder team, but worked on the Congenital Hypothyroidism team for 8 months. I have been working for the state for over a year now, and have enjoyed my time learning about the over 50 different disorders that babies are tested for after they are born. I am currently taking classes at Austin Community College so that I can apply to an accelerated BSN program to attain my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. I hope to advance my career even further in the future. Looking forward to connecting with you!
