ILF Scotland is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) constituted as a company limited by guarantee. It was created following the closure of the UK ILF in June 2015 and has been administering ILF funding for existing fund recipients in Scotland and Northern Ireland since 01 July 2015. ILF Scotland is committed to enabling independent living for disabled people, empowering them to have control, choice, and dignity over how they live their lives. Since its inception in July 2015, ILF Scotland has administered funding in Scotland and Northern Ireland, providing crucial support to over 8,000 fund recipients annually. Their mission extends to supporting young disabled people in their transition to adulthood and increasing their independence through the Transition Fund (TF), fostering active engagement within their communities.

Home Working

Responsible for: All internal/external Communications & Marketing support to the organisation.  Development and implementation of communication plan and strategy Project management of GIN's annual conference, up to 1000 delegates in various global locations. (2023 was GIN’s most successful and profitable conf in the last 5 years) Work with external design, print/media agencies on rebranding, new website launch and conference identity. Budget creation & management. Manage all social media, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Org website, Membership management system. Co-ordinate an external global marketing plan to engage new members. Copywrite and proof all materials such as annual report, governance information, member materials, conference launch and all other relevant publications and campaigns.

• Creation and delivery of an events and corporate plan that maximised event participants, corporate sponsorship and fundraised income.• Ensuring maximum positive media exposure for the events programme.• Crafting social media, advertising and website content to promote events.• Undertaking project management of events utilising volunteers and partnerships to deliver successful fundraising outcomes.• Developing and managing relationships with corporate partners and celebrity ambassadors and supporters• Acquisition of new donors through all direct marketing channels.• Development and creation of donor development plans.• Improved donor retention and development through a programme of key donor comms • Managed the production of donor communications, including supporter newsletters - research, copywriting, planning and preparing briefs and schedules.• Managed fundraising recruitment campaigns with external agencies and delivered training. • Managing external design, print/media agencies on the delivery of direct marketing projects.• Worked collaboratively with the wider fundraising team to ensure a planned approach adopted to acquisition, retention and development of donors.

• Managed all corporate events, both large mass participation and smaller events, from inception to delivery.• Prepared and maintained event plans and schedules, managing budgets and cost benefit analysis.• Produced and delivered all internal communications in line with the council strategy through a variety of channels.• Supported the delivery of all marketing campaigns, including the provision of design briefs.• Managed media liaison, proactive and reactive, at both local and national levels.• Prepared press releases, statements and speeches for Corporate Management Team and Elected Members.• Attend all events, and manage press calls and corporate openings• Produced and published content for the Council website, social media and intranet sites.• Produced copy for the inclusion in Council newsletters.

Ardgowan Hospice
