I am skilled at incorporating collaborative conversation, formative assessment and close reading activities and strategies with high school students in the social sciences. I am also very familiar with using Google products to support student learning, such as the use of Chrome books, GoogleDocs, Forms, and Presentations. I have training in AP Psychology, AP World History and AP US History. I have also attended training by GLSEN, AVID and the ADL. I also have several years working with kids of all ages, in both an academic and non-academic settings. I have worked with students that are not at their grade level, and are struggling academically as well as students who are advanced. My goal is to make a positive impact on my students and make them feel valued and appreciated for who they are. Specialties: Working with children that struggle academically.Currently: This school year I am teaching US History (11th) AVID 11, AP Psychology (11 &12) as well the advisor for the Multicultural Club, BSU, and Co advisor for The GSA Club. I also have Google Classrooms to help with communication with students as well as anteacher Instagram and Twitter accounts.
