For the last six months I've been in a temporary role covering for a Senior Merchant during her maternity leave. This Associate Merchant experience included:Supporting the development and execution of product assortments for eight brands with multiple collections. Assorting product to create swim lanes amongst brands and their collections, and meet financial plan and customer needs. Use of PLM, Jesta, and Merchandise Dashboard while partnering with design and planning on in-season product performance and build data-driven action plans based on results. Identify new growth opportunities in the competitive market and provide operational and analytical support to cross functional teams by maintaining line plans, line sheets, IMU roll up and assortment plans for three seasons a year.As an Assistant Buyer in first Cookware, Bakeware, and Cutlery and later Electronics at Burlington, my role involved providing operational and analytical support to the buyer to drive business through managing vendor relationships, compiling and analyzing reporting, writing and managing purchase orders, supporting strategy and assisting with our Open To Buy, tracking shipping and flow of goods to stores for projections. I helped deliver everyday great values to customers by assisting in selecting the merchandise assortment and working cross functionally with our East Coast counterparts and planners, reacting to business daily. I built vendor relationships through market visits, product development, negotiations, and purchase order management. I tracked market trends through social media analysis and weekly comp store shopping visits. Summer 2023 I time managed and trained two summer interns for ten weeks.At BCBG I was an Assistant Buyer for the Factory & Partner Shop divisions. I worked cross-functionally with teams such as Planning, Allocation, Production, Store Ops, Tech and Marketing. My main responsibilities included reporting and analysis, maintaining the buy preps, sample management, training new Assistant Buyers, and communicating new product info, pricing, and promotions with our Department Store Partner Shop associates.I am an alumna of Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising / FIDM with a degree in Merchandise Marketing. As a student I interned in production and analysis for an online plus size activewear start-up. I was a member of the Premier Marketing Group, a recognition given to instructor-nominated students in the top 5% of their class. I am also a SDSU alum with a Mathematics B.A.
